EBICC 2015 - CALL FOR WORKS |
The EBICC-2015 meeting is targeted towards philosophers and researchers in the field of cognitive science (including traditional areas such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, linguistics, communications, education, social sciences, etc). Papers and posters can be submittted following the call below announced. In adition to this one, there is a special call targeted only toward students and young research fellows, directed to works done individually and without senior supervision, to concur to the "Marcelo Dascal" Prize. |

SCOPE |
The central theme of EBICC-2015 is Situated Embodied Cognition - Information and Autonomous Action, and focuses on questions concerning the role of the informational coupling between the cognitive agent, and the environment and its epistemological implications. This theme provides the main guideline for the debate, and alternative views and proposals are expected and welcomed for work submission and presentation. The key questions under the main theme are:

PAPERS AND POSTERS SUBMISSIONS |
The official language of EBICC-2015 is English, for regular work submissions and presentations. Special submission and presentation of works in Portuguese will be allowed and should be addressed to special sessions. More information about format, style and submission categories can be found on the Information for Authors page. Submission may be done via the Submission link to the Easy Chair website for EBICC-2015. PUBLICATION |
Accepted and presented papers, and poster abstracts will be published in the on-line event annals by a local publisher, with ISSN and DOI. The best papers selected by the scientific comittee will be further published in extended versions as chapters of a book organized and edited by the SBCC. The selected papers will also be eligible for publication on Elsevier's Journal of Cognitive Systems Research. |
