EBICC-2015 - INFORMATIONS FOR AUTHORS
 

This page describes the format and style that must be followed by authors for submissions, and complements information about the categories of submission. Only works following these instructions will be accepted.

The instructions presented here concerns only to the regular tracks of EBICC-2015. The special track for the Marcelo Dascal prize follows the instructions contained in this link.


CATEGORIES OF SUBMISSION

Works should be submitted in one of the following categories:

  • Full paper of completed work - maximum 10 pages without figures, or 12 pages with figures.
  • Brief communication paper - maximum 5 pages, including figures.
  • Poster proposal - one-page abstract (including bibliographicreferences and affiliations).

All works, including poster proposals, should conform to the following rules, indicated in the next sections. Accepted posters should be printed and assembled by the authors, following the indications in the bottom section of this page.

Notifications of accepted works will be delivered via email to the authors on the dates indicated on the Important Dates page.

 
FILE FORMAT

All files must be submitted in Portable Document Format (PDF) only.

Authors' names, institutional affiliation, and email contacts should be informed, following the formats indicated in the composition styles section below. Work assessment will not follow a double blind procedure.

 
COMPOSITION STYLE FOR SUBMITTED FILES

All submitted works should be prepared rigorously following the IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. The templates can be downloaded from the following links or from the IEEE template page:

The authors may compose their papers using the templates provided, and then generate a PDF file for submission at the Easy Chair link for EBICC-2015 work submissions. Only PDF files will be considered for referee assessment.
 
RULES FOR PRESENTATION AND ASSEMBLY FOR ACCEPTED POSTERS
 

Authors of poster proposals will be notified of acceptance via email. The authors will be responsible for composing, printing, and assembling the posters. All posters should be elaborated following these rules:

  • The poster panel should be printed on size A0 (841 mm wide x 1189 mm height).
  • Its content should be organized in two columns, with text, pictures, and tables.
  • The composition may be done using this Microsoft Power Point template:

  • The poster author should assemble the panel at the display place on the first day of the event, December 7, 2015.
  • The assembled panel will remain on display during the entire event, and should be removed by its owner on December 11, 2015.
  • One of the authors must present the work orally at the poster session during the event.

There are some places near the event venue that should be able to provide the service of printing and supply holders for the poster panel. However, the EBICC-2015 committee cannot guarantee this possibility. Further information will be announced on the news page of this website.

 
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
The works submitted to EBICC-2015 must conform to the ethical criteria manifested in this document.
