Biographical SketchSergio Takeo Kofuji is assistant professor at the Electronic Engineering
Department of the Engineering School of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the head
of the Digital System Division of the Integrated System Laboratory. He is interested in
high performance computing architectures and networks, including parallel architectures,
FPGA architectures, VLSI systems design, and high speed computer networks. The focus of
his research is shared memory scalable parallel architectures based on commodity
workstations and point-to-point high speed low latency links and switches. Currently
coordinates a multigroup Project aiming to design and implement a heterogeneous parallel
system based on workstations, ATM links and switches, and SCI based cache coherence
protocols.
Other research interests: Network
Management, network & System security, distributed
Mutimedia Applications.
