The artificial life group is interested on the study of artificial life, and their relationship with real life. It includes many disciplines and subjects related to this area. ARTLIFE works with artificial life models, studying life principles and the possibility to simulate it on non biological substrates.

The artificial life group is composed by professors, researchers and students interested and involved with some of the diverse aspects related to artificial life as for instance emergence, behavior, adaptation, evolution and learning.

It is part of the CNPq research group LSI - Cognitive Computing

ALGA - ARTLIFE RELATIONSHIP

This project exploits artificial life concepts, focusing on subjects as cognition, reasoning, learning, perception and evolution.

ALGA is one of the ARTLIFE group projects. It is a simulation platform to study population evolution and character learning skills. ALGA is one of the core projects of ARTLIFE.

ARTLIFE focuses mainly on multiple characters, analyzing their development as individual (learning skills) and as specie (genetics).
